The village of Agios Thalelaios which is one of the four settlements that make up the community of Melanes, in western Naxos and about 3 km from Chora. Its small houses, built next to each other, are spread at the foot of a low hill overlooking a beautiful valley with olive groves and vegetable gardens. Agios Thaleleios, a Christian martyr of the 3rd century, is the patron saint of the village and the church -part of an old monastery- celebrates on May 20, when a big festival takes place. The most important attraction of the settlement is the part of the ancient aqueduct of Naxos that was discovered at the eastern end of the village. It dates to the late Roman phase of the project and has been restored. The plot of 3700m2 is buildable up to 150m2 which means that you have the opportunity to construct a very comfortable summer home in nature but also in a very rising area that is quite close to Chora that it provides you many entertainment options. Also the plot is next to the main road so access is very easy.
